This vase is thrown at the wheel and the design is carved by hand.
The main body of the vase is glazed using a tenmoku glaze underneath a copper rutile blue. The carving has the same tenmoku underneath a copper green and the inside is copper green.
The clay used is an off white stoneware, fired to cone 6 (1220) in an electric kiln.
