This is one of my new posy bowl style vases, intended for flowers with large blooms. It is thrown at the wheel and the design is carved by hand. They are priced at an introductory price, as they are the first round I have made. This will increase in the next round.
The main body of the vase is glazed using a tenmoku glaze underneath a rutile blue. The carving has the same tenmoku underneath a copper green and the inside is copper green.
The clay used is an off white stoneware, fired to cone 6 (1220) in an electric kiln.
